Haunted
Professor David Ash has made a career of exposing fraudulent spiritualists and mediums, but when he is invited to the remote Edbrook estate to calm a family’s fears, he finds himself in a place that resists easy explanation. The secretive residents and their increasingly strange behavior unsettle his rational instincts, and small anomalies begin to chip away at the confidence that has always defined his work. As Ash investigates Edbrook’s history and the torments that grip its inhabitants, the boundary between trickery and the truly inexplicable blurs.
What begins as a skeptical inquiry turns into a tense, atmospheric struggle between reason and the unknown. The film balances psychological dread with supernatural ambiguity, forcing Ash to confront haunting revelations that even his methods cannot neatly debunk. By the end, Edbrook proves that some mysteries are more dangerous for what they reveal about the human mind than for any obvious ghostly presence.
