Fat Pizza
Set in a dodgy suburban Sydney take-away, Fat Pizza follows the chaotic life of Bobo Gigliotti, a volatile pizzeria owner and chef who is nervously awaiting the arrival of his mail-order bride, Lin Chow Bang. The film bounces between outrageous workplace antics, offbeat characters, and a parade of slapstick mishaps that turn the shop into a magnet for trouble. It plays its humor loud and crude, using broad caricatures and rapid-fire sketches to lampoon the rough-and-ready street life around the shop.
At the heart of the mayhem is the delivery crew, including a new recruit and Channel V personality Jabba as Davo Dinkum, a perpetually stoned courier with a bong strapped to his face like a feedbag. Their misadventures—ranging from ridiculous run-ins to over-the-top stunts—fuel a chaotic, spirited comedy that revels in its shock value and local color. The film’s irreverent, salty tone and episodic structure make it a cult favorite for those who enjoy anarchic, unapologetically rough humor rooted in suburban Australian life.
