From Embers follows Lily in the wake of her husband Ron's tragic death as she and her young son Kevin try to rebuild in a modest apartment. A neighborly bond with Marty—an alcoholic whose music and devotion to his daughter Chloe are his anchors—unsettles their fragile routine when a stray remark suggests Ron's death might not have been an accident. That revelation thrusts Lily into a cautious, emotional search for the truth while she fights to keep her family intact.
