An exclusive artist-in-residency program promises salvation to a group of creatives teetering on the edge of obscurity: under the watchful eye of an enigmatic patron (RZA), they are given a stark ultimatum — unlock their full creative potential or renounce art forever. Tension and ambition simmer in claustrophobic studios and late-night critiques, where self-doubt collides with fierce competitiveness and every brushstroke feels like a verdict.

That fragile ecosystem is thrown into chaos when a brash outsider (Matt Walsh) intrudes, his presence unraveling alliances and exposing hidden compromises. As loyalties fray and the pressure to produce reaches a fever pitch, the film probes the cost of authenticity, the hunger for validation, and the dangerous faith we place in those who promise to make us into something greater than ourselves.
