Breathless

Jesse is a charming but reckless small-time crook who bolts for Los Angeles to meet up with a French exchange student, hoping for a fresh start and a passionate escape. When a stolen car and a split-second decision lead to the accidental death of a highway patrolman, his impulsive gamble turns into a desperate flight. As the city tightens its net, Jesse becomes one of L.A.’s most wanted, his swagger giving way to paranoia and fear.

Against the neon glare and sun-bleached streets, the film follows a combustible romance and a man inching toward self-destruction.
