Biography

Stephen Shortridge, a multi-talented artist, was born in the heart of Iowa and later moved to Southern California, where he spent his formative years. While growing up, Stephen discovered his passion for art and honed his skills in commercial art. However, it was during his time at Idaho State University, where he was not only a standout Water Polo player but also an All-American, that he delved into the world of painting.

Although Stephen had a knack for acting, it was the realm of painting that truly captured his creative spirit. Drawing inspiration from the French Impressionists, particularly Monet, Stephen developed a unique style characterized by vibrant colors and bold brushstrokes, establishing himself as an American Romantic Impressionist. His artwork has garnered attention from notable figures such as Patty Duke, Donna Summer, and Rick Dees, solidifying his reputation in the art world.

In addition to his successful painting career, Stephen has made a mark in the world of commercials, appearing in over 50 ads over a span of fifteen years. From iconic brands like Mennen, Speedstick, Coke, Certs, and Head and Shoulders, Stephen's charismatic presence has graced television screens, showcasing his versatility as a performer.

During his time in Los Angeles, Stephen had the opportunity to exhibit his artwork alongside fellow actor and artist Peter Falk, further highlighting his talent and creativity beyond the realm of acting.
