Biography

Erik Jensen, a multifaceted talent in the entertainment industry, was born on July 20, 1970, in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. Growing up in the heart of the Midwest, Jensen's passion for storytelling and performance was ignited from a young age. After graduating from Apple Valley High School in Minnesota, he pursued his artistic aspirations by obtaining a Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting from Carnegie Mellon University.

Known for his versatility, Jensen has made a mark as an actor, playwright, screenwriter, and director. His on-screen presence shines in various projects, including his role as ADA Dez O'Reilly in the ABC Network Television series "For Life." Noteworthy performances include portraying Thurman Munson in the ESPN miniseries "The Bronx Is Burning," Dr. Stephen Edwards in "The Walking Dead," and Frank Cody in "Mr. Robot." Jensen's range extends to the stage, where he captivated audiences as rock critic Lester Bangs in the acclaimed one-man play "How to Be a Rock Critic," a production he co-wrote with his wife, Jessica Blank.

In collaboration with Blank, Jensen co-directed the film "Almost Home" in 2017, based on Blank's novel of the same name. The duo continued their creative partnership with the premiere of their co-written plays, "Coal Country" and "The Line," at The Public Theater in 2020.
