Margarita Borisovna Terekhova, born on August 25, 1942, in Turinsk, Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russian SFSR, is a renowned Soviet and Russian film and theatre actress. Her talent and dedication to the craft earned her the prestigious title of People's Artist of Russia in 1996.

While her journey into acting wasn't a straightforward one, Terekhova's determination led her to study at the school-studio of Yuri Zavadsky at the Mossovet Theatre after being declined entry to VGIK. Following her graduation in 1964, she became a prominent figure at the Mossovet Theatre, captivating audiences with her performances for many years.

Terekhova's on-screen debut in 1965 marked the beginning of a successful career that spanned decades. She gained widespread recognition in the late 1970s with memorable roles in films like The Dog in the Manger and D'Artagnan and Three Musketeers, showcasing her versatility as an actress.
