Tamika Lamison, a talented filmmaker hailing from Virginia, has carved out an impressive career in the entertainment industry. Armed with a BA in Performing Arts from The American University and having also studied at Howard University, Tamika's journey to success was paved with dedication and passion for storytelling.

Her foray into screenwriting began in New York, where she penned her first screenplay, "Jar By the Door," a work that showcased her storytelling prowess. This script not only became a Sundance Finalist but also garnered accolades such as the Gordon Parks Indie Film Award. It was this early success that propelled Tamika to make the move to Los Angeles, where she fell in love with the art of directing.

In LA, Tamika's talent continued to shine as she clinched various Fellowships and Awards in Writing and Directing. Notable among these achievements was the ABC/Walt Disney Fellowship in Screenwriting for her work, "Memoirs of A Virgin Whore," showcasing her versatility as a writer. Additionally, her involvement in projects like the CBS Director's Initiative and AFI's Directing Workshop for Women Fellowship further solidified her reputation as a multifaceted filmmaker.

One of Tamika's standout accomplishments was the creation of the Make A Film Foundation (MAFF), a non-profit organization dedicated to granting 'film wishes' to children facing serious or life-threatening medical conditions. Through MAFF, Tamika has spearheaded the production of over 100 short documentaries and 4 award-winning short narrative films, collaborating with industry heavyweights like J.K. Simmons, Johnny Depp, and Kerry Washington.

Tamika's creative vision extends beyond the silver screen, as evidenced by her work on the streaming series "Monogamy," available on platforms like Amazon and UMC.
