Biography

Larenz Tate, born on September 8, 1975, in Chicago, Illinois, is a talented American film and television actor. Growing up on the west side of Chicago, Tate moved to California with his family at the age of nine. Encouraged by his parents to explore the world of drama, Tate and his siblings found inspiration in the success of their classmate, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, leading them to pursue acting more seriously.

Making his debut on the small screen in 1985 in an episode of The New Twilight Zone, Tate's career took off with appearances in popular television series like 21 Jump Street and The Wonder Years. His breakthrough came with roles in projects like The Women of Brewster Place and Family Matters, where he portrayed Steve Urkel's nemesis, Willie Fuffner.

Tate's talent and versatility shone through as he transitioned to the big screen, landing significant roles in films like Menace II Society, Dead Presidents, and Love Jones.
