Ingrid Veninger, a talented filmmaker and writer, has made a significant impact on the Canadian film industry with her unique storytelling and creative vision. Born in Bratislava and raised in Canada, she co-founded pUNK Films in 2003, embodying a 'nothing is impossible' ethos that has guided her career. Over the years, Ingrid has written and directed five feature films, each one showcasing her distinct style and narrative prowess. Her works, including "Only," "Modra," and "The Animal Project," have been showcased at prestigious international film festivals such as TIFF, Rotterdam, and Slamdance, earning critical acclaim and global distribution.

In 2014, Ingrid launched the pUNK Films FEMMES LAB, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at supporting and promoting feature films created by Canadian women in the film industry. This endeavor, backed by Academy Award-winning actor Melissa Leo, has been instrumental in providing a platform for female voices in cinema. In addition to her filmmaking endeavors, Ingrid plays a pivotal role as a part-time member of the Film Studies Faculty at York University, where she imparts her knowledge and passion for the craft to aspiring filmmakers.

With a keen eye for storytelling and a commitment to championing underrepresented voices in film, Ingrid has carved a niche for herself as a screenwriter-in-residence at the University of Toronto and a Film Mentor at the Canadian Film Centre. Recently, Ingrid completed her sixth feature film, "PORCUPINE LAKE," a poignant and evocative piece that delves into the complexities of human relationships.
