Despite temporarily setting acting aside during his teenage years, Barry's passion for the craft never wavered.

In 1991, after a period of life experiences and personal growth, Barry made a triumphant return to acting by signing with a local talent agency in Little Rock, AR. This decision marked the beginning of a remarkable comeback that would see him delving into a wide array of acting opportunities, including independent short films, spec films, and stage productions.

One of Barry's notable achievements was becoming an Equity Membership Candidate during his involvement in Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre's productions of A Midsummer Night's Dream and West Side Story in 2016. His dedication to honing his craft and delivering compelling performances has not gone unnoticed, as evidenced by his involvement in World Premier plays like Karski's Message and Mrs. Miniver.

In 2014, after a hiatus of nearly 40 years from the stage, Barry made a memorable return as Duncan in The Savage Muse production of Macbeth. This pivotal moment reignited his passion for acting and set him on a path to further explore the depths of character portrayal and storytelling.
