Prithviraj Sukumaran, born on October 16, 1982, is a multifaceted talent in the Indian film industry, known for his versatility as an actor, director, producer, and playback singer. With a career spanning over 100 films, he has made significant contributions to Malayalam cinema while also leaving a mark in Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu films. His exceptional performances have garnered him numerous accolades, including a National Film Award, three Kerala State Film Awards, a Tamil Nadu State Film Award, and a South Filmfare Award.

Making his debut with the successful film "Nandanam" in 2002, Prithviraj quickly rose to fame in Malayalam cinema, particularly with his role in the blockbuster "Classmates" in 2006, which emerged as the highest-grossing Malayalam film of that year. Notably, his portrayal in "Vaasthavam" earned him the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor, establishing him as a promising talent in the industry at just 24 years old.

Known for his ability to take on diverse roles, Prithviraj showcased his versatility by playing a musician in the Tamil romantic comedy "Mozhi" (2007) and venturing into playback singing with "Puthiya Mukham" (2009). His exceptional acting skills were further recognized with his second Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor for his compelling performances in the medical drama "Ayalum Njanum Thammil" and the biographical film "Celluloid."

In 2010, Prithviraj co-founded August Cinema, producing and starring in impactful films like "Urumi" and "Indian Rupee" in 2011. Noteworthy among his achievements during this period was the success of "Indian Rupee," which clinched the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Malayalam and the Kerala State Film Award for Best Film. His portrayal in "Kaaviya Thalaivan" (2014) earned him the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Villain, showcasing his ability to excel in diverse roles.

In 2019, Prithviraj ventured into independent production with Prithviraj Productions, backing the critically acclaimed film "9." Making his directorial debut with "Lucifer" the same year, he achieved a milestone as the film emerged as the highest-grossing Malayalam film until June 2023. Subsequently, he continued to impress audiences with his performances in notable films like "Driving License" (2019), "Ayyappanum Koshiyum" (2020), "Jana Gana Mana" (2022), "Kaduva" (2022), and the much-anticipated "Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire" (2023) alongside Prabhas, helmed by Prashanth Neel.
